According to a research by the Global Carbon Project in 2018, carbon emissions in the US increased by 2.5%, 4.7% in China, and 6.3% in India since 1980. In October 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued a report, stating that if immediate action is not taken, by 2040, it will become impossible to turn back. The devastating floods, droughts, forest fires, and other effects of climate change will become regular, like the changing of the seasons.
